Both sides disgust me.
I feel like we are being drawn into WWIII in a slow motion version of 1914.
The weaknesses of the world system are fracturing around the flawed bit of state building begun in 1948.
As someone pointed out in another forum, wouldn't it have ben great if the Zionists had maybe held back from kiling the British until they left and had refrained from seizing the land of others?
Maybe they could have asked the British and the UN to sort out a reasonable deal instead of seizing land not theirs?
Maybe in 1967, when the Israeli pre-emptive attack bore such good fruit, they could have avoided putting military occupation on the conquered lands?
Maybe later Israel could have simply said, "no." to the religious extremists who began stealing still more land and using tax money to build Jewish only enclaves servcied by private Jewish only roads?

And how many Zionists have stated they want the same for Palestinians?
