Thor Heyerdahl died last night at age 87
I remember reading "Kon Tiki" and the "Ra Expeditions" as a kid and being fascinated. His theories of human migration may be debated for decades, but you have to respect someone who is willing to risk everything to prove the possibilities. Hyerdahl also served in the Norwegian underground during WWII fighting the Nazi occupation. Brave man.
