Of course both parties are getting soft money. The difference is that most conservatives think it's a free-speech issue, and that such donations shouldn't be illegal. They fought against the legislation. The other side thinks--or pretends to--that soft money is wrong, and evil, and forced legislation making it illegal through the congress. Then they seek out and take the money anyway. Can't see the difference?

Another example:

Take two people: a liberal who supports legalizing marijuana and a conservative who thinks it should remain illegal.

Both smoke marijuana.

Under current laws, both are committing a crime. However, the liberal is morally consistent, while the conservative is a hypocrite.
