It seems to me both played by the rules, the "Knights in Shiny Armor" thought the rules needed to be changed.
They won the joust, and the rules will change. Both sides are supposed to play by the same set of rules. What's the problem?
Oh, I get it! The "Scoundrels" want more of an advantage and think the "Knights in Shiny Armor" should follow the new rules while the Blacks play by the old rules.
Moral - Never trust someone who wants you to follow the rules while they don't.
