Missed the description of the guy.
Well, from what I've seen he used very, very common materials, though I don't know what initiator he used. Might have been for model rockets, but I think those take 24 volts, not 9. I'd be willing to bet there's a simple way to get a spark out of a 9v battery, I don't know how right off the top of my head.
And, while very, very common, when's the last time you bought 20 6 inch, 3/4 galvanized nipples? Or 5, complete with caps. I think that would definitely stand out, as the people using them usually need them in 1/2 inch increments.
Caps, while common too, aren't used much. Well, they're used a lot, but not usually permanently. My house may have one 6 inch, 3/4 nipple, and one cap that I know of, and that's on a natural gas line. Since the 3/4 inch line only runs to the first junction inside the walls, and it's 1/2 from there, I doubt if there's even one. And, you don't buy 2 caps for every nipple unless you're making a container for something.
It would be obvious if someone were buying a bunch. Sort of like buying all the pseudoephedrine at your drug store. No legitimate need for all of it.
And, I thought he was middle-aged, in trouble with the law, and a chronic mal-content.
I would never have guessed a young, FUBB Kurt Cobain wannabe looking for a lot of attention fast. Especially one peddling a half-baked, ridiculous view of the world which won't impress anyone over the age of 17 even if they're wasted on a mixture of good pot and bad acid.
That he thinks that is a cohesive, intelligent philosophy which deserved attention is indicative of a pretty sick guy.
At least I had that right.
