EVERYBODY is wrong over there. All. Every damned last one of them. And, each of them is, in their own way, right.
My crusade here is against those who say it's one-sided. That the Israelis are "right", moral, high-minded.
"Thirty years ago Dayan advised the cabinet that Israel should make it clear to refugees that "we have no solution, you shall continue to live like dogs, and whoever wishes may leave". When challenged, he responded by citing Ben-Gurion, who said that "whoever approaches the Zionist problem from a moral aspect is not a Zionist". He could have also cited Chaim Weizmann, first president of Israel, who held that the fate of the "several hundred thousand negroes" in the Jewish homeland "is a matter of no consequence"."
Not good. Coupled with the pattern of the settlements, it's clear the Israelis want to take over the entire West Bank, with Jews scattered all over like American troops on the South Korea - North Korea border. Couldn't do anything without tripping over one, irritating the "parent" country. No longer is it eliminating Israel that's the issue - it's incorporating the West Bank.
And, the Arabs would like Israel and the Jews gone. No question about it. In the past have worked very hard to see them go.
Someone needs to enforce the original agreements, Period.
And the US has lost it's right to do so by virtue of trying to find virtue in on one of those sides.
Silly.
