Next, take the ongoing support of Israel AND the Israeli treatment of Muslims. I think the support of Israel would be OK if they were not burtalizing Muslims, using American equipment.

Add bombing Muslims in Europe. Throw in the continuing US harassment of Iraq, no matter how justified in some minds.

We are starting to demonize Muslim Saudi Arabia, probably won't complete that until oil is available from the former USSR.

To counterbalance that is the support of Pakistan, which is temporary and recent.

If one were Muslim, with Muslim friends, exposed to Muslim media, it's not hard to start to think the US has declared a low-intensity but continual war against Muslims.

I'm not saying that's correct, I'm suggesting a rational Muslim could start to draw that conclusion.
