Rebels will either try to change their belief's system, or they will try to change the world.
If Islam was so awful, why don't they renounce it?
The same could be said for political systems. The issue with Phil's post is that this is a revered religious leader, and what written were his firm, albeit twisted beliefs. The issue in your reply is that there are others who will try to change the system with a more tolerant approach.
The woman in your example remains a rebel, but one I would happily back,
