Maybe truth isn't always the easy way, but it's the right way. I suspect that you are defining "wisdom" as "savvy", the credo of the wily fox.

Just my opinion, but I've learned that truth is the only way, no matter how must dust it raises.

One exception....telling a woman that she looks like hell. By far the wiser course is lying in your teeth!
