You know, most Germans were not affected by the State being able to imprison people at will, too.
Most of 'em had no concerns. Either.
Now, you're asking about which Bill of Rights was trampled upon. Which Rights does Padilla have?
(Remember Rumsfeld saying he wouldn't lie to us, then saying these provisions wouldn't be used on citizens, then saying nothing about not lying or using them against citizens? Maybe 'cause he lied, huh?)
Why not charge the SOB?
Can you think of any reason the founding fathers didn't want the president to have the power to imprison anyone without due process?
Did they have wars? Did they have citizens who where sympathizers of a foreign power (Britain)?
Had they had the experience of kings?
And conservatives love to see the Bill of Rights gone. Except for their non-right to carry any weapon they can handle.
Silly.
