Something screwy
There's something basically screwy about forcing a kid to pledge allegiance the flag of his country,
AND to someone's "God".
("nation under God" does mean someone's "God" - Ashcrofts, yours, the teachers, the founders, someone's.)
Why not let a kid pledge allegiance to the flag which represents his country, and pledge allegiance to his "God" on Friday, Saturday, or Sunday with his parents?
How does that demean the country, the pledge, the kid, or "God"?
"God" is Christian. And Christians do not believe that the "God" of anyone else is valid, or that any other religion is valid.
Sort of Bill Gates all over again. Linkage. May catch some kid.
