That's why I can't understand nor tolerate those who give government officials a pass for breaking the law, as in lying under oath or obstructing justice. Government officials from the lowest clerk all the way up to the president absolutely must be held to at least the same legal and ethical standards as the rest of us. Doing anything less paves the way for tyranny.
