Sounded like:
... you think that "loathing the US and all it stands for" is really on the curricula in Northern California?
Not a curriculum, per se. It’s in the twisted minds of adults we hire to teach, or otherwise impart knowledge to, our youths -- as well as the system that likes to shuffle the true undesirables to other districts, rather than just canning them.
And/or you think teaching ancient history somehow translates into such poison?
Of course not. Taught with real topic-knowledge, ancient histories are always a good class. And a joy to participate in. What Tom clearly stated was that though the ancient texts are present, the courses to explain us and the world of today to our kids, here and now, are not.
And you think it's somehow typical in Northern CA as opposed to other places in the country?
Well, that pretty much goes without saying. The ground shakes, the mud slides, the brush fires blaze -- and still the knuts remain.
Yeah, yeah, I know. A million an’ three kammics outa woik, and here I sit tryin’ t’ be funny...
;^)
It’s just a stereotype of the California lifestyle (and Hollywood has created, and hardened, quite a few of them) that baits the hook on that particular question. In reality, I don’t think there’s a serious, unbiased assessment of the nations schools, broken down by faculties’ political agenda, currently in print anywhere.
