Smith is an idiot. Thank you for posting a rebuttal from Moore who represents a much more resonable approach to environmentalism. An approach I might add that has far more support from people who are environmentally consciencous than the crack pots on the extremes enjoy.

So can a person call themselves an environmentalist without supporting all the preposturous policies advocated by a few self-proclaimed environmentalist leaders? Of course they can. Just as many people can consider themselves libertarians without supporting the Man-Boy Love sickos, despite the fact that the self proclaimed leadership of the Libertarian party supports them.

Bottom line, support green product and process technologies, and be aware that we ARE impacting the environment in many ways. Don't use idiotic comments from extremists as a pretense to ignore the real threat to the environment. This is our home: Be good to it.
