I support reasonable environmental legislation. Polluting someone else's property should always be against the law, like any other property crime. Heck, I just blew fifty bucks today for the privilege of properly recycling a load of old computer equipment instead of contaminating the dump with the various noxious elements contained in most electronics. The recycler will also resell or donate workable parts, so I don't feel so bad about getting rid of obsolete but perfectly workable stuff.
Today I also tried out a "non-toxic" wasp spray comprised of mint oil and some sulfur compound. Unfortunately, it seemed to have had no effect other than to make their breath "kissing sweet." I beat a hasty retreat from the wet, highly-irritated, nice-smelling wasps and went out to buy a can of the Hard Stuff, whose active ingredient is a chemical name as long as my arm in four-point type, and probably caused mutations in me just by reading it. I've got limits on my efforts to keep my local environment pristine, and having angry wasps on my tail showed me where they are.
