Who is the "We" that you are crediting with "Putting Sadam in Power"?

If you think it is the United States then you realy know very little about th Persian Gulf situation.

The Baath party has been in power since 1968 and Sadam has been running the show either directly or indirectly ever since about 1970.

For most of that time, Iraq has been standing in the way of Western interests in the region.
