It was more an observation. I'm sure I said, quote, "I'm not sure what can be done."
See, it's "either-or" again. EITHER we hassle everyone all the time, OR we let everyone go free and, God knows, something bad could happen. (I'll concede it can be hard to get with the program if the program has to have some disgression, some common sense, some semblance of reason.)
But I think there's a difference between catching people who
have had your own FBI warn you about, the same
people who have had flight school instructors warn you about, the same
people who have had foreign leaders warn you about and the same
people who have had their Taliban protectors warn you about and who are closely allied with the same
people who bombed the WTC once before, AND
this incident. Can you tell what the differences are?
Sorta reminds me of the guy Ashcroft splashed all over the news who turned out to be a total flake, as did Ashcroft. Are they still holding him without charges, representation, just for the hell of it because Ashcroft was embarrassed?
I'll bet they are.
I do know that anyone who wanted to cause you some problems could call in saying they have been seeing some strange visitors at night at your house. Rub some marijuana leaves on the siding, sprinkle the powder from a firecracker on the door and on some grass, and you will have more problems than you want.
Although being the kind of guy you are, I'm sure you'd thank them for their vigilance as they were tearing out a couple of walls and dumping the drawers on the floor.
That's nice.
