The ones who beat their kids need serious help, dysfunctional relationships that spawn unwanted kids - these kids get beaten the most.

If this woman "toogood" hates the father - and daughters look like their dads usually - then this girl is going to be on the receiving end of this woman's projected hatred towards this man - perhaps all men.

The sister thinks she's doing a favor by hiding her sisters whereabouts - but now on the national scale she will get in SERIOUS doo-doo.

A four year old often needs nothing more than a serious look - if she has been raised properly. At worst one grabs her hand and gives her a stern address (which will likely lead to tears) But socking and pulling hair or shaking is completely out of line. Hopefully this makes other abusive mothers more aware of their problem - and that society isn't just going to look away embarassed anymore.
