<Fifteen of the seventeen WTC attackers were Saudis.
Nice harp.
They were “al-Qai’da,” and al-Qai’da was based in Afghanistan. Clinton shied from any real move against al-Qai’da because of his own failings during Vietnam. He did not have the respect in the military any other president could achieve. There would not have been wide-spread mutiny, but he remained too much of a coward to chance repercussions on the home front for sending a nation’s children into combat -- but that is exactly what was required.
When it comes to the military, Clinton is a spineless coward.
While the rest of the US was grounded and unable to fly, higher ups in our government got MANY Saudi families out of the country (the only people flying).
Merely a precautionary measure, and one accorded to all diplomats and corporate leaders (and their families) in the United States. It’s bad for international relations to have the populace ripping these people to shreds on U.S. soil.
And you didn't address the Pandora's Box we created by sending Sadam ebola and anthrax back in the eighties. To help them fight Iran.
No, I didn’t. What would you like me to address on it? That it was wrong? That it was a bad thing? Of course it was, but, like everything else you tote around with you, it’s in the past. What would you have me do to change it?
And now, they think Iran might "help" us?
Sure -- for the time being. And we’ll likely help them as well -- for the time being.
It’s politics,
Dan
