Re: Divide and Conquer

This is why I always wait till after the first cup of coffee before I start writing, or I sound like this on my bad days, too.

Pretty much right, but the good news is when leftists start to feel the power slipping, they start losing their marbles, and this makes for some high amusement. Dacshle and Gore's speeches were just two recent examples.

Remember, there's a big difference between the Democratic Party and the average Democratic voter, although most average Democratic voters, being concerned with their day-to-day lives, probably haven't caught on to it yet. I would venture to say that your typical Midwestern Democratic voter is a hell of a lot more conservative than the DNC. Believe me, the Democratic Party knows that they have moved out from underneath the trade-union-blue-collar-Kennedy-Humphrey voter, and will do everything they can to keep them from finding that out. I don't think enough Republicans know it either.

This conservative Democrat is the one who responded to Ronald Reagan and the Contract With America, and handed a lot of Republicans victories back then. It could happen again.
