Definitely more on target...and more grist for the mill:
I would think that common sense indicates that deficits put their re-elections in jeopardy....
....the economy and the deficits are about the only bullseye the GOP wears right now.
The mushrooming deficit is indeed a political liability for Republicans. It's not surprising, then, that Republicans are determinedly trying to focus attention elsewhere, on Bush's war with Saddam Hussein. Why not address the deficit instead of playing wag the dog? Might there not be, as I suggested, political advantage to letting it be?
"compassionate conservativism." Yes laugh. It's been mocked enough, but it is a catchphrase which was designed...
Frankly, "compassionate conservatism" really is nothing more than a catch phrase consciously designed for political effect. I laugh at your catch phrase, evil monster rightie boy! Yes!
You really believe that republicans are all just eager to cut every social program ion the table, don't you?
Yep, and judging by your comments on the subject:
massively abused welfare system and ... [blacks now] think twice about churning out kids for cash.
"churning out kids for cash"???? SDAI-Tech, that's a pretty good example of the curmudgeonly bigoted rightist stereotype. About one degree of separation between "kids for cash" and "they don't value human life the way we do!" Sheesh....
Thanks for helping along my theses.
