Re: This Al Queda bombing attack in Bali

The US has troops in Afghanistan.
Did this eliminate terrorism?
(I remember posters believing so).
Once the US troops are in Iraq, will that eliminate Al Qaeda?

Clearly, the US cannot win against terrorism by occupying on country after the other.
Sorry, but I don't believe at all it's possible.
What must be done is international cooperation to fight against those groups, not by sending soldiers (who are highly visible) but by international police actions (interpol for instance), infiltration, catching operatives, exchanging information, signing extradition treaties with muslim countries, putting cameras in alll sensitive places, etc...plenty of measures that involve many countries, technology, etc...That wiould be expensive but far more effective than sending troops to just one country that was not involved in terrorism until the US literally threw them in each ones armes as the enemy of my enemy is my friend.
President Bush must be more open to international agreements.
