Investigate and critically analyze
I am guessing that there must be more to the Ohio "resolution of intent" that simply to "allow students to "investigate and critically analyze" Darwin's theory of evolution"
I mean, isn't the goal of education to allow students to investigate and critically analyze most everything?
IMO creationists/intelligent designists/whatever are the products of too little investigation and critical analysis. Science educators should not be afraid to, or worse be prohibited from, discussing controversies, as long as they don't get bogged down in arguments that would detract from teaching real science.
As I say, there obviously must be more to it all than that... I hope.
