Hawai'i has a very politically active gay population.

I don't think the Democrats, as a party, have anything to do with it.

If some of the people involved in the rumor-mongering happen to be Democrats, that is as it may be.

I still say it wouldn't make any difference if people were willing to allow that people's sex lives are their own business.
