From Fox News.
Not good news for my side.
The Democrats have an organized army to haul people out, slap them awake long enough to look at the card that has been put in their hand, and make sure they mark the right box. Buses are there to take them to the polls. Cars are there. Rickshaws are there. This year I expect Democratic party workers to carry voters to the polls piggyback.
They had some trouble with this process in Florida, which was one of the causes of all the problems. One Democratic voter group misprinted the idiot cards and a lot of people voted for the wrong guy.
Republicans are getting better at this, but it doesn't come natural. I'm hoping for the best. The Democrats have NEVER taken their electorate for granted as much as they have this year. Are they right? Who knows?
I'm NOT going to tell everyone to go out and vote.
I'm going to tell the people who care enough to actually think about the election to go out and vote. The ones who study the ballot, read the articles, check out the candidates, and take the time to slog through those horrible propositions. YOU vote.
The rest of you, who go in and see the ballot for the first time, and vote the straight party line because your daddy did, or vote for somebody because the guys at work told you to, or because you like the looks of the candidate or because you tend to believe the last dumbass thing someone told you--the rest of you stay home. Don't screw it up for the rest of us. Hey, there's LOTS to keep you occupied. I'm sure there's something good on TV, and if you get really antsy, have a friend dip your hands in honey and give you a feather to play with.
And hey, you folks who have had the flags on your shirts, and flying at your house, and plastered all over your car all year...if after all that you don't show up on Tuesday, I'm going to personally pinch your heads off.
Unless of course, you are in the second category above, and stuck a flag on your car because you saw someone else do it.
Low voter turnout predicted
