The problem with Row v. Wade was it put the issue into the Federal Arena where it didn't belong.

It should be a State-by-State issue, but with that said, abortion is not an issue the Republicans can win on with a 1 seat majority in the Senate. So its best to just try to bite off some of the extreemist edges like a limit on Partial Birth Abortion. But even that needs to take a back-seat to taking an aggressive stant on fiscal policy issues.

The best way to prevent abortion, crime, welfare, terrorism, and all of the other "evils" out there is to build a strong economy where the "evils" can't find a toehold on society.
