The diffusion of natural seeps over a wide area would greatly assist natural forces in dealing with the seep oil. I'm hoping that the oil in the tanker becomes inert to the point where it seeps out slowly enough to be dealt with by nature. Enough has already gotten out to become a problem, and the proper companies and people should be held liable for any REAL damage. What's going to happen, unfortunately, is that this will be used as another bloody shirt by the radical environmentalists to condemn technology in general, while they demand that the beaches be cleaned to the subatomic level.
