Maybe you figured Mutual Assured Destruction was an acceptable way to live out our lives. I didn't particularly like it.
Maybe that's the way to deal with Saddam then? Publicly target a series of atomic weapons on his nation, and hold his population hostage to nuclear obliteration. Then, if he pulls something, we rain fission death down on them. If a little fallout sneaks into some of the other nations in the area, well, tough shit.
I'm sure the casualties will be less than the surgical military strikes we have planned now.
