I forget about race and usually stay color blind, until Jessie Jackson reminds me we are different. He is the first person to bring up race.

Some people don’t want to let the race issue go. For some, like Jessie, keeping the race issue alive means a way to make a living. For others, it means votes.

Some of us would like to stay color blind and base people on their merit, not the tone of their skin.

And I still don’t get this thing about when an African American becomes a Republican, they are no longer Black. Are they not free to be who they want to. Being pressured to fit one mold is not freedom.
