It's almost as if Lenin ordered the execution of the Von Trapp family from the Sound of Music!

Lenin ordered that all of them were to be shot and the surviving Grand duchesses (who were wearing unintentionally bullet-proof hidden jewel corsets) were bayoneted. Then to remove the traces of the crime the bodies were dismembered and burned.

One should also remember also Nicholas II, in 1900,was the very first world leader to propose to other leaders a program of disarmament and what would later become the Hague or league of Nations.

Inherently the man wanted peace. With a family like that...who wouldn't?
