as a matter of fact there are very few truly 'poor' people in America.

There are of course people in America living in homes with electricity and running water, with color televisions and other modern appliances, owning cars, with ample clothing and food sufficient to become dangerously obese, yet somehow these people have become convinced that they are 'poor'. It's absurd, really, and anyone who's traveled a bit in this world would easily understand that.

If these people really think they're poor, then I know a few families living in West Africa I'd like to introduce them to, so that they might gain an understanding of REAL poverty.
