And as sickening is the Israeli rockets in Gaza. If it weren't for the innocent people in the whole region, one would just hope they kept at it until they were both just plain gone. And, most of the people there are as sickened by it as I am, I'm sure. On both sides.

One thing is absolutely, completely clear. It ain't working. The Palestinian tactics aren't "working", and the Israeli tactics ain't working.

50+ years of it, and still they're going at it. Worse than ever. Reminds me of the trench warfare of WWI. Didn't work, but by God they kept at it. And thousands of innocent people died.

And now the US is doing EXACTLY the same thing. Precisely the same thing, which doesn't work.

When what you're doing isn't working, wouldn't it occur to SOMEONE to try something else? Almost anything else would be better than doing that which guarantees more of the same. That's a definition of insanity, doing the same thing over and over expecting different results.

That's not even bottle-rocket science. I don't know that I expect the Israelis and Palestinians to figure it out, but I for damn sure expect my government, the US, to be smart enough to learn from experience and focus on what may bring the desired results.

Discouraging. If you want to keep getting what you've been getting, keep doing what you've been doing. Simple. Basic. Obvious.
