Re: State of the Union?

Really don't know what Duhbya will spring, but I am afraid it will still smell like left-over sushi.

On a macro-economic basis, the US is NOT is great shape. Presently our economy is driven by Americans buying our Lexus's, Rolex's, Bimmers', plasma TV's, clothing, and all sorts of foreign made consumer goods. For which we export our dollars.

These dollars are lent back to Americans so they can continue their buying sprees.

Eventually, the SUV's, TV's. etc. wear out. But the burden of debt remains.

If foreigners ever stop buying American stocks, bonds, and real estate Humpty Dumpty will fall from the wall.

To find the most powerful nation ever on this earth in such a precarious position is something Duhbya probably won't tell us. Hell, since it's not on the road to conquest this "C" student probably hasn't bothered to look at it.

What Bush probably won't spring on us is how the US can regain more of our lost production, put those on the bottom rung of the economic ladder to work so they can consume from earnings-not debt.

Naw, Bush won't spring anything of importance to us, it will be more same old, same old.
