Deja vu

Geez, Tom, here we go again.

Who said anything about Marxism? Who said anything about government budgets?

Then there is the underlying assumption behind your position

No Tom, once again you've missed the mark by a mile with your tendency to hear what you want to hear, filtered through your ideological prejudices. If you'd stop trying to tell me what I think, you might hear what I really think.

Citing history the way you do is a form of superstition. No doubt in the distant past somebody whose path was crossed by a black cat did suffer misfortune, but that doesn't make black cats carriers of bad luck. Out-of-context history is not predictive of the future, any more than black cats are predictive of bad luck.

The economic situation was different in Reagan's time and different in Kennedy's time. In the early 80s the country was suffering from runaway inflation but had low unemployment; today we have low inflation and runaway unemployment. The stock market didn't tank shortly after Reagan took office; it tanked after Bush took office. Reagan inheritied large budget deficits (and made them larger); Bush inherited a balanced budget (and has already created a large deficit). Etc., etc., etc.

You're avoiding the question of whether CEO Bush's economic "stimulus" plan will stimulate this economy. I think you're dancing around like this because you don't have an answer. Prove me wrong.
