Well, as for myself, and a few friends

Those I know, online and off that are vets of Korea and Nam are almost unanimous in the opinion that Saddam has to go. By any means needed.

Give him two more years and he’ll have sufficient serious weaponry to inflict massive damage and casualties at will. He has a history of having the will to do just that.

Yes, we do know what that means, but we also know what not doing anything could bring. We have been there, and know the costs. Many of us would go if we could, most of us have Family in service. We’ll sweat it out right along with everyone else, praying they come home safe and sound. A majority believe we should have taken that lunatic out in ‘91, would
have saved us this mess, and countless Iraqi lives.

The internal Secret Police in Iraq would have made the SS proud, even a suspicion of a hint of any anti-Saddam thought will get you in a cell.
Where torture beyond belief is inflicted on everyone. Being lowered into a vat of acid, an inch at a time, and worse.

Damnit, read what the Iraqi’s who managed to escape have testified too, even his own chief Nuclear Scientists were not safe from the secret police. His own son-in-law was cheerfully sent to his grave after extended torture, after Saddam assured him he would not be harmed.

I sit here and hear, read and see all those nice people protesting any armed action against Saddam and wonder. Have they any IDEA what the regime they are defending is doing?

And what that regime wants to do?

Do you?

And you still want us to talk too or ignore this man who has proven repeatedly beyond any doubt he is a liar of the first water and has a driving lust for weapons that will kill by the millions? That he will use without any second thought of the people he slaughters by the thousand.
