Hi All
I have an issue with this statement...
Secretary of Defense Donald Rumsfeld criticizes "old Europe" -- the France and Germany that are saying no to war in Iraq -- while praising "new Europe," the former Eastern European countries that, after escaping Soviet domination, still value liberty and justice.
...why are they saying "yes" to war in Eastern Europe - my title explains that. Eastern Europe (esp. Russia) have a LONG heritage of anti-Islamic feeling and action. Freedom and liberty are minor compared to actually beating the crap out of the Muslims.
These are the people who tended towards idolising despots - witness the cult-of-personality around Stalin. Hardly a "liberty" oriented value system.
