Re: Let's see

The French are much more indidualistic than the average european.
They have a lot more room in their country than it's the case in northern Europe.
They can build a High Speed Train track in a few years, thanks to the room they've got, while in the rest of Europe, it takes forever to expropriate houses.
They have successes and failures in the space program which they head in Europe.
They have all kinds of climates, sees, mountains, plains, all concentrated in the hexagone.
The rest of Europe likes going on vacation to France, thanks to the better climate.
The French have their philosophers and thinkers like Montesquieu who inspired new democracies and France, after the King's destitution.
Both France and the US believe they are the holder of "universalist values" like the capacity of a country to consider all citizen are deserving equal rights.
And both are quite arrogant, yes. They have difficulty with people who don't speak their language (same as in the US, btw)
Even the languages are extremely similar (it's only the pronounciation that differs).
They do have something the US hardly does, however (and the english have them too):
Castles, castles, castles...
