<Well, don't you think we should have the co-operation and support of all the countries surrounding this "dictator" if he is so bad? Why should we risk pissing off more Muslims (who already hate us), when the Muslims themselves don't care?

With the exception of Turkey, the leaders of the other Muslim nations are not much better than Saddam. Turkey is the only predominately Moslem nation in the Middle East that isn't ran by a dictator or an absolute monoarchy. They aren't too keen on us liberating Iraq because they fear, with some justification, that freedom is contagious and they'll lose their own grip on power.

Turkey is a staunch US ally but they're weak economically. They fear a spread of the Kurdish rebellion across their borders.
