The administration has invested a lot in the "9/11 justifies an invasion of Iraq" line of argument. Americans seem to be lapping it up. It is frightening that we have a president who either: a) actually believes that load of fallacies, or b) does not believe, but cynically promotes that hogwash to the American public.
About the old Bin Laden tape (memory sux, so: grain of salt time) I believe I was skeptical of its authenticity. I strongly suspect that Bin Laden is dead. I think that I had (and have) strong feelings that experts can easily tell if a tape is put together from cut-and-pasted words.
On the other hand, voice print analysis is not my thing, and I would have to defer to the experts. But it would not surprise me to find that our intellegence community published a conclusion that was convenient to the administration's arguement for war.
