It's very pleasant for me to note that we're both holding a copy of the same book at the same time at opposite ends of the continent while posting here. There's a certain symmetrical synchronicity to this somehow reassuiring fact, and I can't help thinking that maybe there's hope for this country yet.
Here another quote from the jacket copy of "By Way of Deception":
