Sorry if I overreacted, but I have heard an awful lot about how Kosovo was a "good" war while Iraq is a "bad" war, a double standard that doesn't stand up to any kind of reasonable examination at all. The raw politics of most of the organized anti-war movement is so obvious to me that it is irritating to keep having to point it out.
While we often disagree, you have a much more rational approach to how you arrive at your positions than the standard mental parroting I so often have to deal with, most of it off this board.
As far as "genocidal rampages" go, I ask again, how many Kurds does Saddam have to kill for it to count as genocide? And the fact that he isn't doing it right this second, with American forces surrounding his country, and probably on the ground in the Kurdish north, doesn't mean anything.
As for Kosovo, a great deal of the "genocide" that was advertised turned out on later examination to have been either wildly exaggerated, and even totally untrue in some parts. Supporters of the war in Kosovo were talking about numbers of up to 250,000 killed. After the war, this was knocked down to about 10,000. While 10,000 killed is still tragic, and certainly nothing to sweep under a rug, this little alteration has not gotten anywhere near the coverage that it deserves.
