And as for the Kurds
Here are a people who have suffered injustice for generations, and not just at the hands of Saddam. The Turks are as much to blame for the suffering of the Kurds as anyone. I find it very distasteful that Bush promises the Turks he will not allow the Kurds self-determination if the Turks sign on to his war with Iraq. In fact I hope at the end of the day the Turks don't back the war. It will free our hand to help this long suffering ethnic group.
