If you read the paragraph, you will see I make it clear that it is not the case that it is certain that no alternatives exist, just that they have not been looked for or debated by 'our side'. Did you read my post, Tom?
You accuse me of being in the university too long. I grew up in a dinky oil-town in the middle of nowehere, spent some time doing farm work as a kid, paid my way with shitty jobs, and work as a software engineer. Don't take the easy way out and categorize me away because (I claim) your justifications don't wash. You are the best I have seen on the habitable zone as far as discourse, if a case for war can be made that stands up, you can make it.
