This antiwar movement WAS spawned by anticapitalist extremists

<Invariably we see this antiwar movement was spawned almost singlehandedly by anticapitalist extremists.

You wish. Or maybe you don't. To be able to pretend it's that way gives you the benefit of accusing a still amorphous and disorganized opposition of having the organizational power of the Jesuits, without having to deal with a group that commands anything like that in reality.

Jesus Christ on a tricycle.

I have posted probably close on to a dozen posts with links, quotes, diagrams, and pretty much everything one would need to prove that yes, A.N.S.W.E.R. and other such groups are indisputably controlled and funded by hard-left communist people and groups. Most of the quotes are from their own mouths.

And these groups are the wellspring of the vast majority of the protest movement in America and elsewhere, either directly or through intermediates.

These organizations long predate the Iraq controversy, and will long outlast it.

I despair of being able to convince people with facts. Short of pulling Karl Marx out from behind a sign like Woody Allen did with Marshall McLuhan, and having him personally endorse these outfits, I'm not sure where else I can go with this.

Even if the motivations of the organizers are grudgingly admitted, it is then stated that this is completely irrelevant, since many of the marchers and protesters are not part of these groups and don't endorse their totalitarian philosophy.

This flabbergasts me almost to the point of speechlessness (but not quite...better luck next time) coming from the Left, which has been known to condemn entire movements and projects by showing that somewhere along the line, funding was accepted from some evil corporation or right-wing think tank.

I think any reasonable person can come up with many examples of the Left using "guilt by association" to condemn something or someone. Hell, how many politicians have been painted as evil for even the most distant relationship with certain corporations?

Out of tens of thousands of signs and banners in these antiwar marches, I have seen hundreds condemning Bush and America, in the foulest terms. Has anyone EVER seen even ONE sign or banner asking Saddam to stop the war, or do something--anything--to help bring peace? One sign condemning his treatment of the Iraqi people? ONE??????
