The point is: They were in violation of UN mandates. The War IS Justified.
Their equipment may be far less superior to ours. But the fact remains: They broke the rules when they aquired it.
To argue any other way is to argue that the UN and its resolutions are worthless in international law.
"Fairness" really isn't the issue. "Justice" is the issue. They get confused a lot.
