Iraq did not have this night vision equipment in 1991 and it is not specificlly banned. The point is, Iraq has been under a UN imposed weapons embargo and our "friends" have been supplying this equipment in blatent disregard for the embargo. If Iraq had manufactured the equipment it would be different

Right or wrong, our weapons to the Taliban is not a valid comparison since there was no embargo involved.

War is not supposed to be a fair fight. Of course we want to fight a vastly under equipped enemy. Doing so will save lives.

The outcome is not in doubt. The only variable is how much force we will have to apply.
