France had NO interest in vetoing the war; NO INTEREST, except following international law.
And you and many others kept saying "their interest...their interest".
NO, Iraq was 27th in the list of their commercial partners, while the US is 5th.
Sometimes, matters of principle are given priorities.
About the debts contracted by Saddam's regime to Russia..well, the modern Russia has accepted to reimburse debts contracted by the Soviet regime in the 20's. But I don't know to what extend.
