Iraq's economy lives or dies on oil revenue...
If the war was for oil, then none of the oil revenue would go to the Iraqi people. It would go to the United States.
Despite all the claims to the contrary, It will not go to the United States. The Iraqi individuals will be wealthy. Perhaps they will be the wealthiest people in the Arab world...Even more so than the people of Kuwait.
They'll probably be resented as a result of their new found wealth. But this all has nothing to do with why the war was fought.
It was fought to stop Sadam Hussain. It has achieved that.
Now its time to rebuild a peaceful Iraq. The United Nations diplomats, if given the opportunity, will do everything they can to stand in the way of a PEACEFUL Iraq...I wonder why the UN would prefer not to have peace...is it because their egos have been shattered? Or is it something more sinister?
this weekend in Russia, the governments of France, Russia, Germany, and who cares who else will meet to discuss how they can undermine the new Iraqi Government...By doing so, they will invite more warfare on the Middle East.
Its sad how blind the people of Europe are to this reality.
