Revenue is only one side of the equation...
It never ceases to amaze me how some people (and I'm not picking on you, Mark) never seem to complain about the spending side of the equation when it comes to deficits. Fact is, revenues increased sharply in the 1960s following the Kennedy tax cut and again in the 1980s following the Reagan tax cuts. However, spending increased even faster, hence the deficits. The spending increases are a bipartisan problem, too. All too often, it seems Republicans love their pork just as much as Democrats.
