The Mujahideen-e-Khalq is an Iraqi based *communist* group, also known as the National Council of Resistance of Iran. Lets just call them the NCR[I].

These lovely guys were, with great Irony, supported by Jesse Helms.

They are an Iranian dissident Islamist-Communist (go figgure) group who have ties to none other than Saddam! Perhpas we should Send mr. Helms off to git-mo as soon as his retirement is in effect, and ask him some hard questions!!!

and sadly Robert Torricelli would have to go too- as he was also an advocate for them. here, which I had not known before I did some brush up!

But since the 70's, off-and-on, we have tended to fund them to go kill iranian sharia-ists. Currently the state department condemns the bunch, but other aspects of our gov't are still friendly to them...

So if these are some of Saddams terrorist minions, theu are also our terrorist minions.

Since 1999 they have been classified as a terrorist group by our own gov't, and I see no hard data that this has changed (neither their classification or behavior). None at all in fact. They also continue to have STRONG support in congress (toricelli claims over 100 supporters) and collect money from US based charaties and US supporters.

So what the hell is going on here...

On one hand we fund and aid, along side Saddam, an islamist terrorist group operating out of N. Iraq that kills Iranian civilians in scores in terrorist attacks, but then we invade Iraq based on its ties to terrorism.

Oh, but maybe they are 'freedom fighters'. Silly me, I always seem to get the two confused!!

But wait, they are *communist*, umm. How can they be freedom fighters?

So maybe if they go butcher IRANIAN and KURDISH civilians, they are good terrorists, but if they come butcher our civilians (which they did once-upon-a-time, BTW), they are Baaad terrorists...

Sounds Like more BullSheisse from the Bush Admin and the republican congress.

Gotta love it. Thank god the MORAL and UPSTANDING folks moved in and stopped the fellatio... Our government was SO close to loosing all credibility...
